You're the reason a unit shows up cold and clean instead of broken in someone's parking lot.
This is steady, hands-on work at our California, Nevada, and Utah yard. You'll be checking reefer units and generators, running basic refrigeration and mechanical maintenance, organizing the lot, and confirming each unit pulls down to its set point, 0°F on the freezer trailers and up to 50°F on the reefers, before it leaves. What You will Do
- Stage, clean, and sanitize freezer and refrigerated trailers between rentals at our California, Nevada, and Utah depot
- Check and test reefer units and generators, confirming each one holds anywhere from 0°F to 50°F before deployment
- Run basic refrigeration and mechanical maintenance, and flag bigger repairs for the service team
- Run pre-deployment checks so every trailer leaves holding temperature
- Load and unload trailers and equipment
- Track parts and supplies and help keep inventory current
- Keep the yard organized so trailers are easy to stage and pull
- Help diagnose issues on units that come back from a job not running right
What We are Looking For
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with tools
- Basic refrigeration or HVAC knowledge, or a real willingness to learn it
- Valid driver's license for moving trailers around the yard
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather
- Detail-oriented about cleaning, sanitizing, and inspection
- Reliable and able to manage your own task list day to day
- Able to pass a background check and drug screen
